I am a BA Graduate from Pakistan and came to the UK following my marriage. As time went on I had my children but always wanted to return to education to pursue greater things. I have 3 young children, I was worried about the childcare cost and how I will manage without working but The financial support I got from student finance England for my education and maintenance cost has made it very easy for me.

I have an FA from Pakistan I had never imagined I would have the chance to undertake a government funded degree in the UK. I have found this opportunity with career resource, I received FREE support from career resources , I was helped with my student finance application as well and I am very happy I got in touch with them.

Being 58 I did not think I could receive funding for a degree. I also could not find my certificates but after speaking to career resources I was reassured I would be able to pursue this. They provide a high quality and bespoke service and I recommend them.

I have had my high school education from Portugal so I wasn’t really offered great jobs when I came here. I got into working in salons to get experience, I was told by a friend that I can do a degree in Beauty Therapy, I contacted career resources, I was given free advice and help. I was eligible for the funding which was what I had been worried about.

I hold a BTEC sports qualification and after doing voluntary work in the sports field I set out to see how I can progress in Sports; being out of education for a number of years I thought it was too late – but I’m glad this avenue exists for young adults like me and now I am completing my sports and fitness studies degree.
